Can I get a std by using suppositories for the treatment of hemroids?

by Rachel on June 15, 2011

I think I touched an surface (non-human) that was infected without knowing. What is the chance of me getting a std by using suppositories if I neglected to wash my hands befor inserting the suppository?

Highly unlikely just by touching a surface. If however you were sharing someone else’s suppository………

What kind of surface did it touch and how do you know it was infected? If you had any doubts you shouldn’t have used it, but it’s highly unlikely you would contract an std because most die when they are exposed to oxygen.

It is highly unlikely that you will get an STD that way, but you should be checked out by a doctor just to be safe. in the mean time ALWAYS wash your hands before you eat, after you go to the bathroom, after you sneeze, blow your nose, etc. Washing your hands is the best way to reduce the risk of catching colds as well as other illnesses.

You sure can get infected if you have exposed yor hands to contaminated objects. It is safer to always be hygenic b4 using supoitories. Anal tissues are very tender and germs can easily penetrate.

washing hands before touching your genitals is crucial, and when you are susceptible to infection it happens,by any way of genital or anal contact ,scratching using condoms or suppositories…etc
