Can you get HPV or an STD if both partners were virgins and monogamous?

If both partners are monogamous and have never had sex with anyone else but each other, can you still get HPV or another STD? just curious because my boyfriend and I were each others firsts and we’re in a monogamous relationship and I was wondering if you could get an STD. maybe its a dumb question lol

yes. HIV can be passed from parent to child. If you watch comic Relief and other related programs you will see young children in africa with HIV or AIDS. this is not because the have had sex, they caught it inside their mothers womb.

The only way each party could get and STD or any sexually transmitted disease is from birth or infidelity. Otherwise have fun remain faithful and you’ll have nothing to worry about other that the common yeast infection women encounter.. hope my answer helped and remember no question is a stupid one.. take care

unfortunately, yes =(
i would say its very rare, but things like hpv can be passed from simple things like touching privates and oral sex. so say you (or him) fooled around before each other without ever actually having sex, theres a small possibility one of you caught something. for most stds you should show symptoms, but hpv can go unnoticed for awhile..and since theres no test for guys, you need to make 100% sure he’s never noticed any strange bump on his penis.

i hope this helps! i wouldn’t be worried about it or anything in your case, just be smart about it

No HPV is sexually transmitted in order for someone to be infected and able to infect somone else is if they had sex previously. BUT your boyfriend could have cheated on you and gave it to you. If you’re worried, get checked for STDs.

EVERY single STD can be passed through nonsexual ways.

A study at the Univeristy of Washington showed college men carry cancer-causing HPV on their fingernails!!!!! Think about that next time you shake hands with someone, and you will most likely want to wash your hands BEFORE going to the bathroom.

Still, the chances a virgin has an STD is low.
