Can You Pass Hpv Through Oral Contact To A Person That Doesnt Have It?

by Rachel on February 12, 2010

Medical science is still researching whether HPV can be transmitted through oral sex. Some studies have found that 25-35% of oral (mouth and throat) cancers are linked to high-risk types of HPV. However, in light of the widespread practice of oral sex, the American College of Obstetricians
and Gynecologists consider the spread of HPV through this route to be rare.

Hpv is not transferred like normal std’s. Hpv is transferred through rubbing contact not mixing of fluids so even if you use a condom you can still get hpv virus but if you only have the virus you will be ok more than 80% of people have hpv

There are different strains of HPV some causing cervical cancer and others causing genital warts. If someone has the cervical cancer form then no. But If they have warts on their genitals you could get them on your mouth or vice-versa. Just be careful!
