someone is staying with me she told me two weeks ago that she has hpv. she has little kids. her young daughter has some weird looking red bumps that come and go on her neck and feet and arms. I want to know if the lady is contagious to me and my family. I dont want to catch this stuff. Can you let me know if we can catch this or not? Thanks. She didn’t go into details of what kind or anything, but she is misinformed because she told me that men dont carry it. But looking online I see that this info is not true. Me and my husband have young children and i’m so worried that we will catch it because she cooks meals and all. Pls let me know. Thanks so much!!!

First off, don’t over stress about it…millions of people have suffered genital warts and are now living a normal life after getting treated.

Second, genital warts can be treated in a big variety of ways.

You can use creams like aldara, efudex, podofilox….

Or you can use a natural remedy like tea tree oil or castor oil or apple cider vinegar.

So sad to hear you were sexually assaulted. Unfortunately stress makes an outburst worse so try to accept the fact that you are not alone and that you are infected. There is no cure and taking the pills advertised on the boob tube could cause other problems. Try to keep the area dry and do all you can to avoid infecting someone else

Poor you… I hope you’ve managed to talk to someone about what happened to you.

Warts are easily treatment (and surprisingly common so don’t worry about your doctor being surprised when you say you have them). You can get a cream for them or sometimes they are frozen off – like a wart or verucca on your foot.

Go to the doctors or sexual health clinic, ask to see a female nurse if you feel more comfortable and they’ll be able to help you get rid of them.

It’s really important you talk to someone though about what happened.

i dont know what ointment you use but sometimes they can go away by themselves but i think you should see a doctor. maybe you could talk to somebody about being sexually asssaulted this isnt something you should deal with alone x

I have had the same problem. I ended up having to go to my gyn for help getting rid of them. There are many ways to have them removed… laser, acid treatments (this is actually really painful from my experience), and freezing them off. It is best to have a doctor remove them. I know it is a hard thing to go through. I empathize with you and your situation. I got mine the same way that you got yours. If you need to talk to someone feel free to email me.

Sorry to hear that …i ahve never dealt with that so my suggestion would be to go to your famil doctor or maybe a free clinic if you have no doctor and see what they can do to help you.

try going to the doctor, that would help. prescriptions are the only way. wow, common sense. the warts will come and go for the rest of your life
