I just got the vaccine today but I am not sexually active. Is this a bad thing? Or will I just have more protection against the virus when I DO become sexually active?

It’s better to get the vaccine BEFORE you are sexually active to be sure there hasn’t been exposure to the HPV virus. That’s why they recommend it be done when young.
good luck!
It doesn’t matter whether you’re sexually active now or not. The vaccine just protects against the HPV virus if and when you are exposed to it. It’s like any other vaccine–you don’t get it because you already have the disease, you get it because you want protection against it.
No, it’s more of a precautionary vaccine for the future.
no you don’t have to be sexually active, they give the shots to like 12 year olds. your fine
