Has there ever been a study to link HPV and Fibromyalgia or rheumatoid arthritis?

by Rachel on October 29, 2010

Those things are being diagnosed in women younger and younger. I was curious to know if anyone thought maybe HPV could be an underlying cause no one thought of.

I don’t know about the link between Fibromyalgia and HPV, but there is an interesting article on the link between Fibromyalgia and abortion.

no–

because it is estimated taht 80% of women have HPV–if tehre were a link fms and ra would have much higher rates

and fms is highly overdiagnosed–i know more people misdiagnised with t thna actually ahve it

the link to abortion is complete quackery–while it is true taht any physical or emotuioanl trauma can trigger fms—teh claims made in this BLOG (Nota ctual research) are illogical

for example:

So like an HPV diagnosis in someone would almost guarantee that others would know the person’s potential morals or lack there of, and HIV almost always denotes a gay man, a diagnosis of fibromyalgia could potentially indicate a woman who has aborted a child. Just a thought.

HIV IS NOT AN IDICATIO OF HOMOSEXUALITY__IT HASN”T BEEN FOR MANY YEARS
I HAVE FMS__YET I HAVE NVER BEEN PREGNANT–I KNOW PEOPLE THAT HAVE HAD ABORTIONS___SOME MULTIPLE___AND THEY DO NOT HAVE FMS……

No, there is no link. The only thing close would be if you had HPV and needed to have surgery to remove the cells and something went wrong; the physical and mental trauma could (but not likely) be enough to have someone get fibro. But there is no link to RA, you need to have a special RA factor in your blood to be diagnosed with that (some people with RA dont have a factor show up in results but still, there is no link.)
