How do I deal with genital warts caused by HPV?

by Rachel on June 26, 2010

as I’m really scared, and although some of my friends know, I feel that I can not every day, because I want to tell them. I am very young and have no idea where and how I HPV. I went to the doctor to get treatment, but emtionally and mentally, I’m not sure how much. I feel that I am condemned to live a simple life and lonely, I mean, who wants to be with someone with an STD is.

First of all, mojority of us have HPV, it’s a very common virus. We all have acne on our face… it’s a little bump down there. That’s all. It’s just a little bump, it’s not painful and once treated properly it usually never comes back. Don’t worry and love yourself and be safe. You will find someone who loves you with all you flaws that life presents you with. And also you don’t meet someone and say ‘hey I am so and so and yes I am HPV positive.’ It’s not necessary. Yes it is a STD but remember majority of the population has it.

On a more responsible note, some HPV can cause cervical cancer so make sure you get a Pap Smear every year to follow up for the rest of your life like how you are suppose to anyhow.

Enjoy your life. This is just a little bump in the road. Remember to continue being safe.
