How likely is it to catch an STD from snowballing?

by Rachel on March 29, 2011

We were recently at a party and my gf was waiting to use the bathroom and was getting impatient so she started knocking on the door and asking them to hurry up. The door finally opened and her best friend and bf had been in there together. Her friend leaned against her and gave her an open mouthed kiss and then slid something (use your imagination) into her mouth. She was shocked, more by the swap than the kiss since they do kiss from time to time, and ran into the bathroom to spit it out and then used some mouthwash. Is it at all possible to catch an STD this way? If so, how long would it take for symptoms to appear? She doesn’t seem at all concerned by this and thinks it’s funny. I’m afraid to touch her now.

STD’s ( sexually transmitted diseases) are normally contracted from sexual intercourse. Gonorrhea can be contracted from sexual intercourse and from saliva (swapping spit). Have your gf to get tested. If she rejects it, she wasn’t good for you anyway. That tells you she doesn’t give a crap about her health. Since you do, don’t worry about it. Just don’t kiss her. Like I said, depends on the STD. Some can be contracted through saliva. Not by touch.

This behaviour does seem a little strange, how did you find out about this, did she “spill the beans, and let the cat out of the bag”, eventually this could turn into an STD, if different ‘Snowballs’ are thrown and caught, and transferred.

Wow, dude, that’s just gross. Its totally possible for her to catch an STD that way…but I hope for her (and definitly your) sake the chick and the dude were clean. Symptoms should appear normally (not sure of that duration, sorry)..but again, god forbid.
