How long after sexual intercorse does it take for an STD to show up on a blood test?

by Rachel on April 24, 2011

The guy i might become sexually active with, slept with a couple girls this summer and his last girlfriend which was three months long. He has not slept with new people in two months. Will any STD show up on a blood test that he is going to get this week?

Most STD’s are not found with blood tests – they are found by cultures taken from the penis. Only syphilis and HIV require a blood test. Symptoms can show up in as little as a few days, depending on the infection present.

Incubation period (point of contact to first symptom) for 2 of the std’s, gonorrhea and syphilis 3-7 days.
burning sensation during urination, puss may come out of the head you would notice something is going on, and your girlfriend would be complaining about the same condition.
2 months means ur pretty much cleared it..
Dude, use a condom, no cure for AIDS!! AIDS makes u ugly before it kills you. Few of my friends disintegrated with AIDS.

glove it… they come in many colours and flavours.. lol

Not necessarily, if you have sex with this guy, you will be having sex with whoever he has been with for the last 10 years. If people knew all the diseases that were out there, they would be totally shocked. Did you know that the HPV virus has an incubation period of 3-6 months? There is no such thing as safe sex. The only thing a condom protects is you internally. There are STDs that can be contracted thru skin to skin contact, such as the HPV virus, herpes, etc. Keep your legs crossed sweety, you will be glad you did someday.

You should just assume that he has something, and make him wear a condom.
