I have HPV I’m worried that the next man I meet will not be open to it. Does anyone have experience with this?

I am 27 and was lied to by someone I cared about. Now I have to live with this and would never lie to someone in the future. I am just worried that not matter how much they like me that they will run away.

Don’t worry about it to be honest. Why let it ruin your life. If you find someone that you care about, and he cares about you, then this won’t be a massive issue.

My boyfriend has herpes 2. He didn’t know when we first started dating (no sex involved). I asked him to have a std screen before we started to have sex. So he did, and came back positive. At first that is all i thought about, and how i didn’t want to contract it. BUT… We have been sexually active and happy for many month now.

I accepted it of him, and prior to knowing he had it, I use to have major panic attacks about contracting an std.

Education is the KEY. If you know as much as you possibly can about HPV. And then if your partner to-be wants info you can at least give it to him.

You will be fine honey. Millions of people live with HPV every day. The only difference between yourself and some of those, is you are aware you have it. Many people live with it and never ever know.

Good luck, and just remember, you aren’t alone.

HPV is contracted by roughly 90% of the population by age 50. It is not a problem and you should not be ashamed.
