I have been dating this girl that has HPV.We have been having protected sex,but a couple of times the condom came off inside of her and my penis was exposed to her.Is it a high chance that I may already have it and not know?

Condoms do not provide complete protection against HPV, so even when used properly, you still may contract the virus. This is because the condom does not cover the entire length of the penis; thus, regions of the genital area are still exposed. However, a recent study found that consistent use of condoms does significantly reduce the risk of HPV. Be sure to continue to use them!
Yes, you may have already contracted HPV. Like women, men usually do not show any symptoms of HPV unless the virus begins to cause abnormal changes in skin cells. So it is likely that even if you have HPV, you will not know it. HPV has been linked to cancer of the penis and anus, but these cancers are very rare in men. Because of this, a reliable method of testing for HPV in men has yet to be discovered. Since there is currently no FDA-approved HPV screening test for men, there is no way to determine if you have the virus unless you begin to see visible symptoms.

It may not even be active in her body right now. Once you have it, you always have it, but it’s not always necessarily contagious at all times. Continue having protected sex.
Condoms do not give 100% protection to the transmission of HPV.
Your body touches her body during sex with a condom. I am sure there is contact with her body and your body during foreplay. Do you don your condoms before you engage in any sexual foreplay.
There is a 65% chance that you acquire HPV with the first time sex with a partner that has HPV. Since you have had sex with her several times engaged in foreplay I would assume and have had the condom come off during sex…it would be best to assume you have the virus. Most of the time there are no symptoms of warts or lesions the virus is silent. There is no DAN test for the checking for high risk HPV types. A doctor can do vinegar solution if you get genital warts. A person with HPV can carry both high risk and low risk HPV. You may never show signs of the virus but most probably have it or you could show signs of the virus years down the road.
