If someone already has been diognosed with HPV, should they still get a gardasil shot?

I have a friend who has been diagnosed with HPV (the high risk kind w/o warts) and wants to know if she should still get a shot and if it will do anything for her

Yes. She can get HPV vaccination for prevention of other types. But the Gardasil is ineffective against already infected type of HPV. ( If a girl or woman is already infected with a type of HPV, the vaccine will not prevent disease from that type.)
Gardasil (Merck & Co.), also known as Gardisil or Silgard, is a vaccine to prevent certain types of human papillomavirus (HPV), specifically HPV types 16, 18, 6, and 11. HPV types 16 and 18 currently cause about 70% of cervical, 26% of head and neck and many vulvar, vaginal, penile, and anal cancer cases. HPV types 6 and 11 cause about 90% of genital warts.
