If you are diagnosed with HPV does that mean that your sexual partner has been cheating on you?

You haven’t had any other sexual partners and you’ve been together for two years, but you recently were diagnosed w/HPV.

he may not have cheated on you, he may have contracted the virus before he ever met you.

Not necessarilly…
HPV can lay dormant. I was diagnosed with HPV when I had an abnormal pap come back. It’s only in the past few years that they started routinely testing for HPV since it is now known to cause cervical cancer.
You could have had it before you met your partner if you had been with anyone else before him and vice versa. You can have it for years and not know it. It doesn’t mean he’s cheating on you. But…if you know you have it, he needs to get tested and treated too.

Yup sure does and you need to get it treated asap and make sure you keep all your pap smear appt every year because that virus can cause cervical cancer which nearly killed my dear sister. Oh and make sure you use condoms. You never know what the other person is up to.

did either of get checked before becoming monogamous? if yes, then he has sex with someone else.if no maybe he has not .my understanding of this is that a healthy immune system can fight it hpv off.when immune system comproimised-you will get it. ask very specific Qs when seeing dr.this std is becoming politically incorrect.

No. They don’t check men for hpv only women.
