What is the chance of contracting an STD (if the partner is an average female, and I’m a guy) if a top quality condom is used?

Only partial protection. The most prevalent STDs among the younger generation are Herpes and Human Papiloma Virus. There are several varieties of viruses causing the same disease. Skin to skin contact is enough to infect STDs. Beware- there is no cure for Herpes simplex virus. Some persons are carriers of STDs with no symptoms. Once infected, it will stay for the rest of your life.
Please see the webpages for more details on Herpes simplex virus and Human papilloma virus and STDs.
