Yes I Have Hpv Virus And Just Had A Biopsy Yesterday And Today I Am Running A Fever Of 102 Should I Go To Er?

i just wanted to know if it is ok to run a fever or should i go to the er ? my doctor isn’t in over the weekend?

Jess February 25, 2010 at 12:43 am: Yes, it could be the start of an infection. Other symptoms are a foul discharge (other than the monsel’s which isthick brown sometimes can look like a blood clot) or abdominal pain.

I have also had the HPV virus, which by the way, can actually be cleared from your body over a period of time. I too had a biopsy and ended up having to have damaged cells removed from my cervix by laser treatment to prevent cervical cancer. Just day surgery and didn’t hurt a bit. I am now on the mend and after my last check in December I am clear of the virus. I do have to follow again up but so far so good.

katrina February 25, 2010 at 2:49 pm: Not really sure how it’s related at all? None of what you describe should cause a fever…you could just be sick. If you are concerned however, you can call your dr’s answering service and tell the service you’d like a call back as you are concerned from possible complications from biopsy.
